Toe-kick drawers have added so much storage space to my condo kitchen. My toe-kick drawers are recessed under the lower cabinets – space I didn’t know could be used. And you can really open them with your toe and then kick them shut!
New cabinets and kitchen designs rarely require the structural integrity of a Navy cruiser, but with N Time
Design, LLC, you can be sure that owner Linda Constantine will bring together her wealth.
I’m always baking so I kept my mixer on the counter. But Linda had a counter-clearing idea. My mixer no longer hogs the counter top: I have a mixer stand. The mixer sits in a lower cabinet on a shelf. When I pull out the shelf, it springs up and locks at counter-height. No heavy lifting and now the mixer is at my fingertips. I love it!
My weekend baking is now pure pleasure thanks to one very deep drawer. Flour is heavy, especially when you buy it in bulk. In my old kitchen, I stored it in big canisters and had to carry flour – by the cupful – clear across the room. Linda’s solution was a deep drawer to hold all my canisters. Now I don’t even turn around to reach the flour. I just open a drawer.
While she was updating our basement kitchen, Linda saw my record collection in boxes. She solved that problem. We have a finished apartment in our basement that I call my “mom-cave.” That’s where I stashed my vinyl collection – LP’s and 78’s from my parents. Linda designed a cabinet just deep enough to hold the albums. And much to my surprise, the cabinet fits perfectly in the hallway. Without taking up a lot of space, my records are safely stored but accessible.
Looking through magazines helped me focus on features I liked but it was Linda that helped me make decisions. Linda sat with me and looked through all those magazines clippings that I had accumulated. She was so patient. My problem was I had found lots of things I liked but couldn’t choose between alternatives. For example, I liked both natural and painted cabinets. Linda gave me a logical reason to choose painted. She pointed out that I had clipped more pictures of painted cabinets than natural ones. So painted it was. I appreciated that Linda didn’t give me her opinion on what would suit my kitchen. She helped me decide what was right for me. And I made the right choice!
I shopped around for two years looking for cabinets in a particular shade of taupe. All I heard was “not available” or “discontinued color.” I was just about to order cabinets that I really didn’t want when I met Linda. She immediately showed me cabinets in the color I wanted. So now I have the kitchen I’ve always wanted.
I didn’t want some over-the-top kitchen. Linda designed one that fits perfectly with the style of our home. We had a 1965 kitchen so we were doing a total remodel. We wanted an updated, functional kitchen but we also wanted to open up the space and better integrate the kitchen with the house.
Linda has a great design process. She emailed us drawings and then we went back and forth tweaking them until we got it right. We ended up taking down a wall that opened the kitchen to the dining room. We also shifted an exterior door. Then there were the design details – like running the floor tile from the foyer into the kitchen. It all added up to a kitchen that we really live in. We couldn’t be happier!
We had so many spices – we needed a way to organize them alphabetically. Linda designed a 6” deep cabinet which was built on one side of our refrigerator. Instead of an end panel framing the fridge, she used that space to create floor-to-ceiling storage. There are lots of little shelves to hold the spices. I’m no longer buying duplicates because I can’t find what I looking for. The cabinet keeps us organized!
Linda came up with ideas for our master bathroom that we would never have thought of. This was a very large bathroom, entered through double doors. It had a high ceiling and a very vacant feel. Linda changed all that. She switched the double doors to a single pocket door and created a linen closet. Then she added three custom “towers” which framed the two sinks. Each tower had built-in electrical outlets and gave us additional organized storage space. Now our bathroom feels finished – and very functional.
The little things Linda did were monumental to me. My galley kitchen had little counter space and moving appliances around was not an option. Linda solved my problem with some minor shifts. She centered the sink and slid the dishwasher to one side. Now I have more workspace than I thought possible!
N Time Design gives me drawings with details down to the size of the filler. Linda dots her i’s and crosses her t’s. She always checks up with us on cabinet delivery to see if any cabinets arrived damaged. And she’s always available to come to the job site. That makes my job so much easier.
I work exclusively with Linda. The service she provides is above and beyond. I always get what I need in a timely manner. If I run into a problem, I know Linda has the product knowledge to solve it. She’ll come right over to the job site – and always comes up with a solution to make things work.
My jobs go better when Linda is involved. Linda is highly organized, reliable and responsive. With my customer, she knows the questions to ask and how to use the space. And on the rare occasion that a cabinet delivery shows up short, Linda readily resolves it. See Perry’s website
I refer clients to Linda because they consistently come away with a great experience. I could send Linda a young woman doing her first kitchen in a condo or a retired couple building their dream kitchen. She would devote the same energy to each of these clients. She is a true professional.
I’ve known Linda to answer emails while she was on vacation. On bigger jobs, customers demand responsiveness. Linda has always returned phone calls and emails – even when she’s out of the country. She works hard to avoid snafus but never gets flustered if problems arise. See Ben’s Facebook page
Linda has been my go-to for kitchen design for eight years. When I am doing a house renovation, Linda does the kitchen. If we hit a snag, we’re a good team. We come up with a better solution by brainstorming back and forth. Linda is great at maximizing cabinet functionality – like hiding electrical outlets inside the cabinets. That way appliances can remained plugged in and tucked away. See June’s website
I trust Linda to give my client honest advice. I’ve worked with Linda for over seven years because she mirrors our approach to a job: honest advice on what a client should do – or shouldn’t do. I can completely turn a customer over to her and know she has their best interest at heart. See Glenn’s website
When I’m remodeling a whole house, I know Linda will take the kitchen off my shoulders. She holds the customer’s hand and gets them what they want. It doesn’t matter if it’s a high-end project or not, Linda has great alternatives to match the budget. And she gets maximum performance out of the space. Installation is easy because her drawings are so detailed and professional.
I value Linda because she is willing to work through the intricacies of a job. When we tear out a wall and run into an issue, I don’t have to solve it alone – I have a partner. Linda will come to the job site and we’ll put our heads together. I know she has the product knowledge to help me figure it out.
